Page 1 of 2 Partage is the French word for sharing. Partage is a knowledge-sharing hub, being a state of art in itself. Art transcends all existing human made cultural boundaries and depicts a unified, colorful world. An artist cannot strive in a corner all by himself and think that the world is his alone. Sharing and communicating with other artists brings about new lights and liveliness. It enlightens creativity. It creates a rippling effect across the whole wide world. Partage believe in oneness and this oneness will be achieved through “partage” itself. The idea to create an association of Mauritian artists was triggered by Krisna Luchoomun. He and other well known Mauritian artists, Nalini Treebohbun, Maya Ramyead, Hans Ramduth, Nirmala Luckeenarain, Gerard Foy and Manjoola Appadoo, joined forces to create Partage. Launched officially on 5th November 2003, the association aims to encourage and uncover the hidden vibrant talents of local artists as well bring cross fertilisation by linking with international groups of artists. |
